Biography
Matko Orsag (M) received his PhD from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing where he is currently working as an assistant professor. As a researcher he has been involved in various projects financed by the national and international science foundations and industry. In 2011/2012 he worked as a visiting researcher at the Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, USA as a recipient of the Fulbright exchange grant. He was a principal investigator of EU Horizon 2020 cascade funded project ENDORSE and is currently the principal investigator of project SPECULARIA funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. He is involved in several EU projects: Aerotwin, ENCORE, Aerial Core and RoboCom++. He coauthored over 30 scientific and professional papers, including journal and conference papers, a monography in aerial robotics and a book chapter in the field of unmanned aerial systems and robotics. He was a recipient of Croatian Academy of Engineering young scientist award „Vera Johanides“. He has served on the committee of several international conferences and is serving as an associate editor of AUTOMATIKA – Journal for Control, Measurement, Electronics, Computing and Communications. He is a member of IEEE and euRobotics Aerial Robotics Topic Group. He is serving as a chair of Croatian section of IEEE RAS and as a national coordinator of European Robotics Week.
