Martin Oreč

Martin Oreč is a researcher and mechanical engineer at the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (LABUST) at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (UNIZG-FER). His bachelor’s and master’s studies at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture were mainly focused on product design and development. During his master’s study, he participated in the Erasmus student exchange at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). After Erasmus he has done a practicum in RiD and prototyping field in the tech-solute company in Karlsruhe. For a short time he worked at Rimac-automobili where he has also done his master’s thesis. After graduation, he started his career in a spinoff company H2O Robotics, where he worked for 7 months as mechanical engineer and product developer. Afetr that he joined LABUST as researcher on one of the project and as technical support on other. In 2024, he worked in a medical device start-up company Ronna-Medical as a mechanical engineer. Currently, he is a member of COE Marble engineering team.
