DEMO: MARBLE Sea Lab

MARBLE’s third pilot site is an underwater laboratory facility refered to as MARBLE Sea Lab. The pilot site aims to provide easy access to the sea, allowing remote experiments, data collection, continues marine monitoring and technology tests and demonstrations. The infrastructure includes a land station for maintenance and communication, a diving centre for marine operations, and a cabled network of submerged nodes arranged around a hub.

Vistors of BtS will be provided with the oppertunity to tour around the facility, see its potential and register to become a member of the MARBLE Sea Lab network. During BtS, we will be holding a demonstration of MARBLE Sea Lab capabilities. The demonstration will take place within the shore station. A vessel will be traversing the station area and the visotrs will hear the boat noise, streaming from the underwater node and will see a visualization of the vessel noise via a running spectrogram (time-frequency). Visitors will also see a live stream of underwater camera from the facility.
