Julio L. Paneque

Julio L. Paneque is a PhD student at the University of Sevilla. He has been granted an FPU Spanish national scholarship to research on multisensor techniques for aerial robot perception in complex, GNSS-denied environments. During 4 years he has worked on several H2020 European projects (AERIAL-CORE, HYFLIERS, AEROARMS, AEROBI, EUROC) and the ERC project GRIFFIN, developing innovative solutions for drone localization and navigation, which have been published in 7 conference papers and 2 Springer book chapters. He has been co-recipient of the international award “First EU Drone Awards. Best drone-based application” and has been a finalist with the GRVC-CATEC team in the aerial robotics branch of the European Robotics Challenge (EUROC).
