Biography
Dr. Jeremi Gancet (M), Robotic Systems Team Leader, Systems and Ground Segment Department. Mr. Gancet received a MSc (2001) in computer science from the Université Laval, Quebec, Canada, and a PhD (2005) in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from the National Polytechnical Institute of Toulouse, working with the Laboratoire d’Analyse et d’Architecture des Systèmes (LAAS), Toulouse, France. He carried out experiments for a couple of years with the LAAS’ Lama Marsokhod (VNII-Transmach) planetary rover, and participated in aerial robotics research projects. He is team leader for robotics activities at Space Applications Services since 2005, where he participated in, and led activities in many ESA and EC (FP6, FP7, H2020) R&D projects. He is the coordinator of the ongoing H2020 DexROV project (Dexterous ROV intervention in presence of communication latency) as well as coordinator of the ongoing H2020 InFuse project (data fusion framework for space robotics).
