Håvard Snefjellå Løvås

Håvard Snefjellå Løvås has a PhD in marine robotics, with focus on optical technologies and techniques for underwater sensing. He has worked on assembling and designing an underwater vehicle consisting of 2 small remotely operated vehicles. The vehicle is designed to carry the underwater hyperspectral imager for seafloor and under-ice mapping of habitats and organisms. Currently, he is working with techniques for georeferencing hyperspectral imagery in the underwater scene, and optical correction methods for the inherent optical properties of the water column.
