Biography
Augusto Gómez Eguíluz is a postdoctoral researcher with the GRVC Laboratory at the University of Seville (Spain). He received his BSc in Computer Science at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain), and a MSc degree in the University of Salamanca (Spain). In 2018, he obtained his PhD with the Cognitive Robotics Team at the Ulster University (UK). His thesis focused on exploring tactile sensing as a continuous process to enhance robot collaboration capabilities for object manipulation. Nowadays, his research with the GRVC Laboratory explores the use of event-based vision in Unmanned Aerial Systems. His main research interests include robotic perception, robotic manipulation, machine learning and human-robot interaction.
