University of Haifa: Enabling Techniques for Underwater Acoustic Detection

In this tutorial, we will examine two key techniques in underwater acoustic signal detection and will discuss their implementation tradeoffs. The main theoretical results will be surveyed and practical considerations in choice of parameters will be given. Using their own laptops, the attendees will then practice on detection of signals in air, and on detection of signals recorded at sea.
