Innovation Tuesday: Round table on creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship
Underwater technologies: The road ahead
Oceans and seas are the source of the life on Earth. They are critical for regulating climate and the survival of humanity. It is therefore paradoxical that we know more about some distant planets then our own, Blue Earth covered 73% by water.
As we sense that underwater robotics (UWR) technologies are reaching a tipping point, we strongly believe that this will require new discoveries and consistent development of several new technologies in sensors, materials, energy, communication, navigation, architecture and intelligence.
This roundtable will gather leading authorities in this field to discuss the current state of UWR technologies, to gauge some near-term advances, and to bravely project the future of this promising field.
