Elena Ciappi

Elena Ciappi is a senior researcher at CNR-INM. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (1996) and PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (1999) from Sapienza University of Rome. Her research focuses on the safety and sustainability of marine vehicles and offshore structures. She is active in science-to-policy efforts for the Sustainable Blue Economy and leads projects funded by the EU, EDA, ONR, Italian ministries, and industry.
