Biography
Thomas Corner received the M.Eng. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., in 2021, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree, with his research focused on the optimization of receiver structures for underwater acoustic communication using adaptive signal processing techniques. While completing his part-time Ph.D. degree, he is also employed part-time for Sonardyne International Ltd., where his research contributes to the ongoing development of the physical layer of a software defined acoustic modem. His research interests include digital signal processing for underwater acoustic devices, algorithm optimization, and investigation of acoustic array geometries.
