Biography
Mario Prečanica is a mariculture and aquaculture professional with a Master’s degree in Mariculture from the University of Dubrovnik. He currently works as a Young Researcher in Mariculture and Smart Aquaculture Systems at the Centre of Excellence MARBLE, where he focuses on shellfish farming protocols, biological and environmental data analysis, and technological advancements in mariculture. He is also Head of Shellfish Production at Bivalvi d.o.o., overseeing mussel and oyster production. His previous experience at the University of Dubrovnik and the Institute of Aquaculture and Protection of Waters in the Czech Republic includes aquaculture research, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), oyster hatchery management, aquaponics, and experimental design. He is also the author and co-author of scientific publications in aquaculture and fisheries.
