Biography
Helen Farr is a Professor in Maritime Archaeology at the University of Southampton with an interest in the human ocean. Her research focuses on exploring early seafaring and submerged landscapes, working on projects around the world. She has a passion for public engagement and the protection of underwater cultural heritage and chaired the UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archaeology for a number of years. Helen is an HSE commercial diver, Fellow of the Society of Antiquities, and a keen sailor.
