Itzik Klein

Itzik Klein received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in Geo-information Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2011. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Haifa, where he heads the Autonomous Navigation and Sensor Fusion Lab (ANSFL) and serves as Chair of the Hatter Department of Marine Technologies in the Charney School of Marine Sciences. He is an IEEE Senior Member and an IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) Distinguished Lecturer. He serves on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM), the IEEE Journal of Indoor and Seamless Positioning and Navigation (J-ISPIN), and Elsevier’s Results in Engineering, and is the founding editor for sensing and perception in automotive applications on the editorial board of the IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology. His work bridges industry and academia, with deep expertise in inertial sensing, sensor fusion, robotics, and the integration of artificial intelligence into advanced navigation systems.
