Biography
Dr. Natàlia Hurtós Vilarnau spent 13 years (2004–2017) as a researcher at the University of Girona, where she earned her PhD in Computer Engineering, specialized in underwater robotics and sonar mapping, participated in numerous national and European-funded research projects, and drove key technology transfer initiatives. Building on over 20 years of experience in autonomous underwater robotics, she is currently the Software Product Manager at IQUA Robotics. In her role, she directs IQUA’s software strategy, guiding a multidisciplinary engineering team through the development, integration, and testing of advanced subsea systems and software solutions for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). She also manages R&D projects across the scientific and defense sectors to explore innovative applications for AUVs.
