The main financier of the 2nd International Interdisciplinary Training of Marine Robotics and Applications "Breaking the Surface 2010" is the European Union. More specifically, the Commission of the European Communities representing the Union in the Grant Agreement no. 229553 awarded to the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing for the project "Developing the Croatian Underwater Robotics Research Potential", proposed in response to the FP7-REGPOT-2008-1 call. The call originated within the 7th Framework Programme, Regional Potential development actions.
